The International Livestock Research Institute are seeking a consultant to provide technical support for their Rural Household Multi-Indicator Survey tool, which monitors efforts to eradicate rural poverty and food insecurity.

The consultant will adapt the existing questionnaire for use in different locations, work with users of the survey tool, organise existing versions of the survey questionnaire and produce documentation. The ideal candidate would have skills or aptitude for basic computer programming, an understanding of survey methods, and some knowledge of agriculture and rural development.

The initial appointment will be for 20 days, at 3 to 4 days per week. The initial contract could lead to longer term employment.
