Over the period mid 2004 - mid 2007 the IEEP as part of a consortium of nine research institutions is tasked with identifying the best means of meeting commitments under the Kyoto Protocol and the Convention on Biological Diversity in the agriculture and forestry sector. Several reports have been produced as part of the project, on the following topics:

• The Convention in Biodiversity and its potential implications for the agricultural sector in Europe
  
• The Kyoto Protocol: Current State and Implication for EU-25 Member States. A Focus on Agriculture and Forestry
  
• The Kyoto Protocol and the Effect of Existing and Planned Measures in the Agricultural and Forestry Sector in the EU25
