Countryside and Community Research Insititute (CCRI)

The CCRI is a unique partnership between the University of the West of England, Hartpury College, Royal Agricultural College and the Countryside and Community Research Unit at the University of Gloucestershire. It specialises in research on food chains, local and alternative food networks and transition farms.


CRed: University of East Anglia

CRed is a community Carbon Reduction project based in the East of England and focusing on Norfolk and Norwich.


Edinburgh University - School of Geosciences

Conducts research into greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, with a particular focus on the impacts of land use on nitrous oxide and methane emissions.

The University of East Anglia's Environment, Health and Development website now features a set of webpages focussing on climate and health. The pages provide links to practical and research projects on climate and health across the world.


Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford

An interdisciplinary unit within Oxford University that undertakes research on environmental issues, teaches an MSc in Environmental Change and Management, and fosters university-wide networks and outreach on the environment. Three major research themes: Climate, Energy and Ecosystems.


ESRC Research Group on Lifestyles, Values and Environment based at the University of Surrey

RESOLVE is a collaboration funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. It aims to unravel the complex links between lifestyles, values and the environment. Six thematic research strands: Carbon Footprinting; Psychology of Energy Behaviours; Sociology of Lifestyles; Household change over time; Lifestyle scenarios; and Energy/Carbon Governance.


Imperial College Centre for Energy Policy and Technology

ICEPT addresses key policy challenges, including climate change, energy security and energy for development. It provides objective research, analysis and policy advice to governments, industry, NGOs and the public.


PSI: Policy Studies Institute at the University of Westminster

PSI is a leading British research institute, conducting research to promote economic well-being and improve quality of life. PSI evaluates social, economic, industrial and environmental policy in the UK and Europe. In 2009 it merged with the University of Westminster.


Stockholm Environment Institute at York

One of the constituent centres of the Stockholm Environment Institute, an independent, international research organisation committed to the implementation of practices supportive of global sustainable development. Focuses on the links between the ecological, social and economic systems at global, regional and national and local levels.


University College Cork: Sustainable Energy Research Group

SERG builds on over 25 years of sustainable energy research within the School of Engineering in UCC. Principal research areas: bioenergy research, energy policy and modelling, wind energy and energy efficiency.
