Climate Conservancy

This is a U.S. non-profit organization supporting consumer-driven solutions to anthropogenic climate change; by assessing and certifying Climate Conscious products, it aims to empower consumers and incentivize manufacturers to reduce GHG emissions across the full life cycle of all products.


Consumer Focus

Incorporates (since 2008) the Welsh, Scottish and National Consumer Councils, Postwatch and Energywatch. It is the new champion for consumers' interest in England, Scotland, Wales and, for post, Northern Ireland.


Friends of the Earth

Friends of the Earth campaigns for solutions to environmental problems. Campaigns include: Fair Future; Healthy Planet; Safe Climate; and Smart Economy. FOE seeks to influence the government to make changes to policies in favour of people and planet.


Greenpeace

Defends the natural world and promotes peace. Investigates, exposes and confronts environmental abuse by governments and corporations around the world. Organises public campaigns for preventing climate change, for the protection of oceans and forests, for the elimination of toxic chemicals, against the release of genetically modified organisms into nature and for nuclear disarmament and an end to nuclear contamination.

STWR is a London-based NGO that advocates for governments to secure basic human needs by sharing essential resources such as water, energy and staple food.


Soil Association

Founded in 1946 by a group of farmers, scientists and nutritionists who observed a direct connection between farming practice and plant, human, animal and environmental health. The SA is the UK’s leading organic organisation. The SA is a registered charity.


Sustainable Food Laboratory

A consortium of business, non profit and public organizations working together to accelerate the shift of sustainable food from niche to mainstream in order to ensure a healthy future for the planet and its people. Facilitates market-based solutions to the key issues - including climate, soil, poverty and water - that are necessary for a health and sustainable food system to feed a growing world.


Sustainweb

The alliance for better food and farming advocates food and agriculture policies and practices that enhance the health and welfare of people and animals, improve the working and living environment, enrich society and culture and promote equity. It represents around 100 national public interest organisations working at international, national, regional and local level.

An international, non-profit global organization whose goal is to help government and business set the world economy on the path to a low-carbon, prosperous future.


Transport 2000

Transport 2000 is the independent national body concerned with sustainable transport. It aims to reduce the environmental and social impact of transport by encouraging less frequent use of cars and lorries and more use of public transport, walking and cycling.
