Who we are

Tara Garnett | Tim Jackson | Emily Lewis-Brown| John Jackson

Emily Lewis-Brown has a long research and conservation history, initially juggling her research into dolphins and whales with her place on national sports squads. Emily is now a published researcher, specialising in marine and climate change science and conservation. Through the production of many reports, speeches, policy and media work she has achieved significant shifts in science, policy and public awareness, including informing the development of a new protected area for dolphins in the UK and new international legislation on marine climate change.

Emily has worked extensively in the NGO sector, including 8 years with WWF, and has collaborated with many universities and other academic institutes. She has also worked in industry and government, such as with the fishing community west Wales and for ADAS on agri-environment schemes and subsidies. Following her BSc in Ecology, she carried out an MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment. This included Environmental Auditing, Economics and Law and Life Cycle Analysis.

Passionate about food, climate and children, Emily spends most of her spare time growing food and campaigning to reduce climate change. Emily joined the FCRN in September 2009. You can find out more about Emily on www.lewis-brown.net
